Struggling with brochures websites

May 27th, 2010 by admin

Months ago I created a UX services website www.enfoqueusuario.com, to offer usability services to some clients but almost every project that arrive to my door is a “brochurist website” sometimes too small to incorporate some elements of user experience to a web that doesn’t need it.

It’s very hard to sell UX, usability web services when there is a massive necessity of brochure type websites here in Panama.  At the other hand, me and some of my friends that has been working with web design and development for years agree with me that this kind of business is very saturated and in some cases the low prices other companies and people are offering for a website are ridiculous and some of us think they are killing the business.

If we want to offer usability services, we have to change the mentality of some of our clients, we have to show the value of it, focus.   Stop struggling with projects that make us feel unhappy and demotivated.  How can we make this?
